Who We Are
On Dragon Wings We Rise is the home base for the work of Wizard Bill and DragonWings: essays, analysis, creative projects, videos, experiments, and the long process of building something meaningful from scattered pieces.
The work here moves between two worlds. One is analytical: systems, incentives, power, evidence, consequences, and repair. The other is creative: DragonWings World, storytelling, characters, humor, memory, and myth.
Those worlds may look separate at first. They are not. Both are about how people make meaning, how systems shape behavior, and how we keep building after things break.
Wizard Bill
Wizard Bill has worked across finance, insurance, actuarial support, compliance, teaching, trucking, restaurant operations, writing, and technical problem-solving. That range is not a straight career ladder. It is a field study in how systems behave when real people have to live inside them.
The writing projects grew from decades of watching incentives, institutions, promises, and consequences collide. The goal is not to chase noise. The goal is to make mechanisms visible.
DragonWings
DragonWings is the creative force, co-builder, visual eye, and essential counterpart behind much of the DragonWings universe. The creative side of this work grows from shared story, shared survival, and the decision to keep building anyway.
DragonWings World, World’s Worst Travel Channel, and the wider creative ecosystem all come from that shared work: one part real life, one part imagination, one part controlled chaos with feathers.
What This Site Is For
This site is the central map. The writing may live on Substack. DragonWings World may have its own doorway. Videos and experiments may grow in their own corners. But this is the place where the pieces connect.
It is not meant to be perfect. It is meant to be alive, useful, expandable, and honest.
